The ETLS™ programme focuses on helping individuals improve and increase the effectiveness of those critical leadership skills that influence performance in the sales and service environment.

The approach utilises a variety of feedback techniques that provide the individual with deep insights about the extent to which they currently deliver effective leadership skills. This represents a ‘start point’ or map reference for a development journey to help them improve those skills. By becoming more skilled, they will engage far more effectively with the people with whom they work. Enhanced quality of engagement helps generate stronger Climate. Boosting Climate means improved organisational performance.

The ETLS™ workshop then enables the individual to practise and develop their skills, initially applying them to role-play scenarios before moving on to consider (in confidence) a real situation they have to contend with in the workplace. This learning is immediately taken back to the real work environment and progress with the issue (and others) is reviewed after 13 weeks and then again after 26, at which point a re-run of the original survey measurement is conducted to provide a check-point assessment on the progress that has made in delivering the Climate enhancing Blue 4 leadership style.

Our experience is that in this relatively short period of time, leaders will ‘raise their game’ by virtue of showing an uplift in the extent to which they deliver Blue 4 by anything up to 50%. Such a quantitative improvement regularly elicits unsolicited qualitative feedback about leaders’ own sense of improved delivery in parallel with positive perceptions expressed by those they manage or work with. In one major retail organisation with which we worked, top-line sales and concomitant service quality increased by over 25% within a two-year period.
